All-Natural Body Care Routine
Our all-natural body care routine is designed to maximise hydration and get you the smoothest, healthier skin of your life. We believe that skincare should be indulgent and fun and not complicated or exclusive. There is so much misinformation out there regarding hygiene and skincare we decided to create a routine that can be adapted to all skin types and skin needs.
1. Raise the bar with natural soap bars
Shower gels can be bad for your skin, drying due to harsh cleansers and irritating due to synthetic fragrances. Our bar soaps are a cut above the rest as they are designed to be gentle yet effective cleansers. They come in a range of variations including unscented and untextured for sensitive skin types. They gently remove excess oil, dead skin and other pollutants without stripping or drying the skin. They are moisturising without clogging the pores and causing breakouts and they are better for the planet.
2. Gentle Exfoliating
This might be controversial but your hands are not an effective enough cleanser and you need a tool to help the soap effectively remove oil, dirt and dead skin. Used in Africa for hundreds of years the African Sapo Sponge is a beauty staple for clean naturally glowing skin. It’s gentle exfoliation of dead dull skin and dirt clears acne and bacne, smoothes rough skin and stimulates cell renewal.

3. Layer your Moisturiser.
No matter your skin type you need to seal in hydration (water) on your skin the most effective way to do so is by using an oil or butter. When the skin is still damp, apply a generous amount of oil to your damp skin. Follow with rich butter if you have dry skin or live in colder climates. The oil/butter acts as emollients and/or occlusives to add softness, smoothness and a glow to the skin.
Tip: You can use pure vegetable glycerine a natural humectant, if you have very dry skin (when the skin is still damp) to help draw even more moisture to the skin.
4. Hand and Foot Care
Once a week do a pedicure and manicure, soak your hands and feet and remove all the dead skin, with a pumice stone or pumice bar like our Elbows Knees and Toes. This removes hardened skin without using chemicals or harsh treatments, so skin is softer and smoother naturally. Once or twice a week use a salt/sugar, pumice or coffee scrub to do a dully body exfoliation and slather offer any lingering dead dull skin. Follow with a rich oil or butter to replenish the skin and add glow.
