We make the best bar soap in London for three reasons; one, we use premium quality ingredients, two, we use the heatless soap-making method to make our bars and three, we make all our bars by hand, and with lots of love. Granted, other soap makers use good ingredients too, and many do so by hand, but, no one else can claim that they use the heatless method or pour as much love into your soap making. We think it’s because of the level of work involved, and the time it takes because time is money. We take a different approach, we love what we do so much we don’t mind taking the extra bit of time and elbow grease to make your bars. Read on if you are a geek like us, and want to know how we make the best bar soaps in London.
How are bar soaps normally made?
Normally, bar soap is made by melting the oils and butters, combining them with lye water and adding various botanical additives. This mixture heats up naturally and changes from a thick custard-like consistency to a solid log that eventually turns into soap.
How do we make the best bar soap in London?
We don’t melt down our oils and butter to preserve as much of their natural goodness as possible. Heat can lead to the degradation of ingredients so instead; we blend them into submission with a large stick blender. It takes a bit of time and elbow grease, but after a while, you are left with a smooth, creamy butter oil blend. Then we add botanicals and essential oils, and finally, the lye solution, continuing to mix and blend. The mixture heats up naturally, creating rich rivers of moisturising glycerine to create a more moisturising and gentler bar of soap.
How are heatless bar soaps better for the skin?
This method results in a super hard, hydrating bar that retains most of its moisturising and skin-protective properties. Less heat means less degradation of natural skin nourishing fats and acids within the oils and butters used making them better for the skin. We also noticed that our heatless bars are longer lasting, gentler to the skin and create the smoothest, creamiest bubbles.
And there you have it, how we make the best bar soap in London and everything we do to keep your skin as naturally beautiful and glowy as possible.
So, until next time,
Be good to yourself.
