C.E.A.M (Cleanse, Exfoliate, and Moisturise)

CEaM is a 3-step, 3-product routine that nourishes your skin, adds pleasure and leaves you glowing. It is an antidote to the Everything routine, has many steps, many products and takes up many hours of your precious time only resulting in skin irritation, inflammation and sensory overload. The CEaM routine leaves your skin clean, smooth and naturally smelling good (if you want), and without SLS, synthetic fragrances, or petroleum, gentle enough to do daily it is the only way to look after your skin.

Step 1: Cleanse

The first step to healthy skin is regularly cleansing. Clean skin rids the body of lingering bacteria that cause odours and acne, and we need to remove them daily. To do this, you need a gentle and effective cleanser like an enriched natural shea butter soap bar. Soap gets a bad rep for drying and stripping the skin but that is also true of gels and cleanses. What you need is a good bar of soap ( (like our shea butter bars) that cleans without stripping or drying the skin. Step 2: Exfoliate

Pair your natural soap bar with an African Sapo, an exfoliating washcloth that can be used daily to exfoliate and clean the skin. A staple in most West African households, the African Sapo is durable, long and stretchy, and makes cleaning all the nooks and crannies like the back, knees and underfoot easy.  A physical exfoliant, it gently removes dead skin, dirt, grime and sweat from the body leaving it feeling cleaner and softer all day long. Unlike its counterparts, the loofah and the puff, the African Sapo does not harbour bacteria due to fast drying.  It is an essential tool in maintaining healthy glowing skin.

Step 3: and Moisturise

Once clean, your skin needs to be replenished with an oil, cream or butter of your choice. This is to seal in hydration and protect the skin from environmental damage.
